The CrossFit Open Is Over—Now What?

The 2025 CrossFit Open delivered three weeks of challenging and exciting workouts, showcasing the global fitness community's spirit and athleticism. The workouts tested a broad range of fitness domains, including strength, endurance, and skill. There was a mix of classic CrossFit movements and new combinations, keeping athletes engaged. The "Friday Night Lights" fostered a strong sense of community and camaraderie. The initial phase of the CrossFit Games (Open) is done so what now?

We recommend to focus on the following:

Get stronger: Whether you're seeking better performance or want to build an "armor " for longevity, building strength through compound movements like squats, presses, deadlifts is the way to go. We encourage foundations of the movements first and then progressive overload to accomplish this safely.

Develop a new skill: The "Open" has revealed something you can work on. Pick a skill, talk to your coach and build a plan to master the skill. Remember, this is supposed to be fun! Trust the process and be consistent!

Build aerobic capacity: Yes, we will go there! You need to be strong but conditioning is important for various health benefits. Yes, that includes running 🏃‍♂️ so don't skip those workouts with longer runs. You know who you are! 😀

Return to the basics: While training is the fun part, we need to prioritize rest and nutrition. If you want to PR a lift, you have to put in the work but allow adequate recovery, consistently prioritize 7+ hours of sleep and implement "good" eating habits. Eat real food, prioritize protein and shoot for balance vs perfection. Talk to coach Dusan if you want to take your nutrition habits to another level.

Finnaly, just consistently show up for yourself,  for your community and enjoy the privilege of fitness. At T48, we're a different kind of strong 💪.  Let's honor it!
